Stryten Energy Welcomes U.S. Legislators and Staff to its Manufacturing Facilities Across the Country

Stryten Energy recently had the honor of hosting Congressional officials and their staffers at several of our manufacturing facilities this summer.

Not only does Stryten build advanced battery solutions that support our country’s energy independence, but Stryten is also one of the few domestic, vertically integrated battery manufacturers in the U.S. We were proud to demonstrate to our legislators and their teams how stored energy solutions are vitally important to our country’s energy security.

“Stryten Energy is proud to support U.S. energy independence and security through our advanced battery solutions. Providing our policymakers with the opportunity to see firsthand how battery components and batteries are made is always a highlight for our plant team members. It is important for domestic battery manufacturers, like Stryten Energy, to share our mission to keep supply chains running and people on the move with our elected officials and their teams,” said Melissa Floyd, Vice President of Communications and Digital Marketing for Stryten Energy.

Salina, Kansas visit: Melissa Floyd, Rodger Meyer, Senator Roger Marshall, and Jeremiah Atkinson

Cumming, Georgia visit: Tim Judd, Stuart Aspey, Ayush Nallapally, Rodger Meyer, Melissa Floyd

Columbus, Indiana visit: Melissa Floyd, Shawn Gardner, Melissa Acton, Brian Nuss, Robert Littiken

Kansas City, Missouri visit: Melissa Floyd with Joe Mackin

U.S. Senator Roger Marshall toured our Salina, Kansas, plant, our largest manufacturing facility, which produces batteries for transportation applications. He was able to see the battery manufacturing process up close and learned about the Salina plant’s contributions to the local manufacturing community for over 50 years.

Additionally, our Kansas City, Missouri, battery component plant hosted Field Representative Joe Mackin from the office of Missouri Senator Josh Hawley. Mr. Mackin saw how transportation battery grids are made and learned their vital function in battery performance.

Field representative Ayush Nallapally, from the D.C. office of Georgia Representative Rich McCormick, visited our pilot lithium battery assembly line at our Cumming, Georgia, Lithium Assembly plant, where we assemble advanced lithium batteries for military and commercial applications.

Most recently, Shawn Gardner, Regional Director from Senator Jim Banks’ office and Melissa Acton, Regional Director from Senator Todd Young’s office, toured our Columbus, Indiana, Industrial Battery Component manufacturing plant, where they saw one of the only facilities of its type in the U.S. producing components for forklift and locomotive batteries.

We were honored to host U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley at our transportation manufacturing plant in Manchester, Iowa, that recently celebrated 50 years of battery production. During his visit, we shared information about batteries we produce to support domestic battery needs, from automotive and agriculture to commercial trucking and military applications. Our employees had the opportunity to engage directly with Senator Grassley to ask questions about today’s economy, federal policy and the future of the state of Iowa.

We are grateful for each of these visits to our facilities and for the support of our congressional representatives for their support for the domestic battery manufacturing industry, and for taking the time to meet with us and learn about all we do here at Stryten Energy!
